Viscose dresses

Many stretch dresses are made of viscose or cotton. Viscose dresses have the advantage that they retain their quality, even after washing. Another added benefit is that the colors of viscose dresses are pure and deep. This is due to the production process. We source our fabrics in Europe, have them dyed or printed there, and manufacture them in Europe as well. The options for a viscose dress are endless. Will you go for a short viscose dress, or perhaps a dress with long sleeves? Do you prefer a solid-color dress, or do you like dresses with prints? Sustainable natural product

Viscose is inherently sustainable, made from plant fibers. Through a chemical process, the raw materials from these plants are processed and transformed into strong fibers that ensure perfect color absorption. Viscose clothing is breathable and absorbs moisture, which adds to its comfort.

Viscose dresses: wash separately the first time

When you buy a viscose dress, it’s recommended to wash it separately the first time. The manufacturing process of viscose means that a garment may still bleed a little during the first wash. And of course, you don’t want your white underwear to end up on your colored dresses.

How to keep your viscose dress looking its best

Viscose requires careful handling. Do not wash it at temperatures higher than 40 degrees, and hang your dress to dry instead of using the dryer. Direct sunlight is not good for a viscose dress, and ironing at high temperatures is also not recommended. Viscose is delicate, so if you want to enjoy your clothing for a long time, we advise you to handle it with care.

Drying viscose

To prevent wrinkles, it is recommended to spin-dry briefly or not at all after the final rinse. Do not put viscose in the dryer, as it may shrink. Lay-flat drying is recommended: roll the garment in a towel and then hang it out again, unrolled.

Ironing viscose

If you want to iron viscose garments, it helps if the fabric is still fairly damp. Do not set the iron to the highest setting, as viscose cannot withstand that. To prevent the fabric from becoming shiny, it is best to iron viscose on the inside of the garment.

Removing stains from viscose

Stains on viscose are best removed with a liquid detergent. Apply the detergent directly to the stain and rinse by hand or wash the garment in the washing machine.

Care

Viscose can be washed at a low temperature without any issues, unless the care label indicates otherwise. Keep in mind, however, that frequent washing causes clothing to wear out more quickly. Viscose has a natural shrinkage rate of 4–8%. Shrunken viscose can easily be ironed back into its original shape after washing.

Hand Wash

Viscose can be hand-washed at a maximum temperature of 30°C. When wet, the strength of the fiber is reduced by half. It should therefore not be cleaned by rubbing or brushing.

Machine wash

Viscose can be easily machine-washed at a maximum temperature of 30°C. Wash viscose on a wool or silk cycle using a neutral soap or wool detergent. Turn the garment inside out and place it in a laundry bag to prevent friction. Never wash viscose together with clothing that has protruding elements, such as zippers.
